Spray texturizer at the root for volume and pull hair back into an unkept messy bun and tie loosely with a clear elastic. Pull some pieces through around the hairline and there you have it - a red carpet ready look for any day of the week.

Spring has sprung in Boston, MA and at James Joseph Salon we love to celebrate a new season by transforming a color from dull to deluxe. Salon Coordinator Samantha was in need of an update and stylist Mary Chheng came to the rescue giving her beautiful blonde highlights that brighten Samantha's look and give her color a POP! Bow Down to Big Curls!

Curly girls unite! We love spiraling, winding and twisting locks in any length and the looks above show how curls can rock it out. How do you achieve any of these looks? Each one starts with a great cut by a qualified stylist who knows what all curly girls know - when wet curls are loose and longer, when dry they rise. So before someone goes Edward Scissorhands on your head of hair they have to understand how curls function. As James Joseph stylist CJ Burns explains "curls have to be cut according to curl pattern and should not be combed excessively during the cut because this would disrupt the natural fall of the curls."
